"Notebook of Denial" explores the psychological aspect of “Erotic Sexual Denial” (or Tease and Denial) and the relation between a Dominant Teaser and his/her Submissive Partner. The two are deeply entangled and their arousal must feed on each other emotions.

The formal structure, or shape, of the piece reflects the heightened state of arousal maintained for a length of time without climax that causes feelings of intense desire and psychological need. Through the iteration of a number of sonic elements, the idea is to sound-carve the sense, almost within a physical feeling, of struggling for the height of liberation.

The composition is in the form of Sound Sculpture and evolves over layers of audio samples manipulated by an analogue modular synthesizer, live string performance and live electronics.
